We don't fight aging,
We reverse it!

Our Mission

At Rejuve Therapeutics, we believe aging is not only the accumulation of molecular damage, but also the progressive inactivation of higher-order, coordinated gene regulatory programs that maintain cellular function and resilience.
Our mission is to halt and reverse biological aging at its roots by selectively activating intrinsic rejuvenation networks —- the higher-order, coordinated gene regulatory programs. Through systems biology and AI-guided gene network engineering, we aim to develop clinically actionable, high-magnitude rejuvenation therapies that cure age-related diseases, extend healthspan, and redefine the boundaries of human vitality.

Our Vision

We envision a future where aging is not an inevitable decline but a treatable, reversible biological program.

A future where:

  • high-magnitude cellular rejuvenation can be triggered safely and precisely,
  • age-related diseases can be prevented and treated at their molecular origins, and
  • humans can maintain youthfulness, resilience, and functional longevity far beyond current limits.

By merging genetic science, stem cell biology, and AI-powered discovery, Rejuve Therapeutics is building the foundation for the world’s first true rejuvenation medicine—a new class of therapies designed to restore youth at the source, cell by cell, tissue by tissue, and system by system.

About Rejuve Therapeutics

Rejuve Therapeutics is a biotechnology company pioneering the next generation of gene-driven rejuvenation therapies. Our work began with the belief: cellular rejuvenation and dedifferentiation—long believed to be inseparable during reprogramming—can in fact be decoupled.

By selectively inhibiting dedifferentiation during reprogramming on our proprietary rejuvenation screening platform, we demonstrated gene-mediated high-magnitude rejuvenation of senescent human arterial endothelial cells that preserves their native identity: the cells reversed hallmarks of aging while remaining endothelial, with no sign of reversion toward pluripotency, conversion to other cell types such as mesenchymal or fibroblast-like cells, or tumor-associated changes. Our long-term aim is to develop simplified, clinically actionable rejuvenation gene cocktails.

Building on this foundation, we are constructing the first longitudinal Human Aging and Rejuvenation Gene Expression Atlas under multiple perturbations, enabling high-resolution mapping of the molecular events that drive aging and its reversal.

We are now working with leading AI scientists to launch the next stage of our platform: AI models built around what only the Atlas provides. The first uses the Atlas’s built-in genetic perturbations for causal inference, distinguishing true regulatory drivers from genes that merely change alongside age. The second separates cell identity from cellular age, so that rejuvenation and identity preservation can be optimized together. Together, these efforts advance our goal of simple, clinically actionable rejuvenation gene cocktails.

The initial clinical translation strategy will focus on two major directions:

  1. Vascular Aging and Ischemic Disease Indications
    • Critical Limb Ischemia / No-Option Peripheral Artery Disease
    • Diabetic Foot Ulcer / Non-Healing Chronic Wounds
    • Dry Age-Related Macular Degeneration / Geographic Atrophy
  2. Broader Age-Related Diseases and Systemic Healthspan Extension

A Breakthrough in Human Cellular Rejuvenation

Rejuve Therapeutics has demonstrated high-magnitude rejuvenation of senescent human endothelial cells while preserving their identity. Our gene cocktails, which pair reprogramming factors with a dedifferentiation inhibitor, reverse key features of senescence, shift gene expression toward a youthful profile, and restore proliferative capacity, all without triggering dedifferentiation.

To our knowledge, this is the first experimentally verified demonstration of rejuvenation achieved by selectively inhibiting dedifferentiation during reprogramming, which avoids the loss of cell identity that comes with full reprogramming. These cocktails are a proof of concept; our long-term aim is to develop simplified, clinically actionable rejuvenation gene cocktails.

The World’s First Longitudinal Human Aging & Rejuvenation Atlas

Building upon the above achievements in Human Cellular Rejuvenation, we are now positioned to establish the Longitudinal Human Aging and Rejuvenation Gene Expression Atlas, a systematic and high-resolution experimental framework to capture the time-resolved gene expression dynamics across cellular aging, and, critically, rejuvenation under different gene perturbation conditions in senescent HAECs, as well as related differentiation, dedifferentiation, and reprogramming trajectories.

AI-Powered Discovery of Next-Generation Rejuvenation Therapies

We have therefore built a four-phase causal AI framework that moves from raw sequencing data to a minimal, safety-validated gene cocktail, with each phase gated by an explicit, falsifiable checkpoint before the next phase is allowed to build on it:

Phase 0 — Trajectory Alignment. Place all five experimental arms of the Atlas onto one shared biological timeline, so that a day in one experiment can be compared to the correct, not merely the same-numbered, day in another.

Phase 1 — Causal Regulator Discovery. Use the Atlas’s built-in perturbations to identify genes that actually drive rejuvenation, rather than genes that merely correlate with it.

Phase 2 — Identity/Age Disentanglement. Separate cell identity from cellular age so that “more rejuvenated” and “less differentiated” can never be silently conflated.

Phase 3 — Minimal Cocktail Search. Search combinatorial gene space for the smallest, Pareto-optimal, ablation-validated cocktail, in a closed loop with our HAEC screening platform.

Founder and CEO

Dr. Gordon Ma is a geneticist, stem cell biologist, and biotech founder with over 20 years of experience in epigenetics, gene regulation, and rejuvenation biology. His PhD work produced the first evidence of CDH1 promoter methylation in precancerous tissue—a foundational contribution to modern epigenetics. He completed postdoctoral training at Harvard Medical School and the University of Colorado, where he studied XIST-mediated epigenetic regulation.
At the NIH (NHLBI), Dr. Ma conducted research in embryonic stem cell differentiation and cardiovascular regenerative biology and made key findings on mitochondrial regulation of pluripotency. He later founded several life science companies while continuing NIH research as a special volunteer for nearly a decade.
As Founder and CEO of Rejuve Therapeutics, Dr. Ma is the principal inventor of a patented method demonstrating gene-driven rejuvenation without dedifferentiation. His ongoing work includes large-scale single-cell sequencing studies and the development of the first Longitudinal Human Aging and Rejuvenation Gene Expression Atlas. He is collaborating closely with AI scientists on transfer learning and biological foundation models to identify key regulatory genes driving aging and rejuvenation and to develop clinically viable rejuvenation gene cocktails
